This is not an easy watch but it is well worth the effort. I caught it by chance, in BBC IPlayer. Billy Barrett is already a terrific young actor, and rightly steals the limelight from the more experienced cast. A terrific BBC production.

I feel so sad that this movie is a docudrama. The character was acted so well, i feel so sorry for the boy even though the murder was brutal. A child is a child and shouldn't be tried as an adult, especially someone so young but had to takeover as a caregiver for the family.

Surely this must rank as one of the best one of dramas to come from The BBC for white some time, it highlights the experiences of Ray, a twelve year old boy, who's accused of murdering his stepfather.

It's a deeply moving, upsetting, tragic watch, I was astonished to learn that minors over ten are treated as adults in cases of murder, it's revealing, and proves to be a real eye opener.

Not one to watch if you're after something uplifting, it's actually pretty depressing, but it's informative, and clearly designed to make you think.

Billy Barratt is tremendous as Ray, the young actor does a tremendous job here! Michelle Fairley was fantastic here as well.

You will ask all sorts of questions after this, I certainly did, very good viewing, 8/10.
