An alright Indonesian supernatural horror film that follows a family experiencing ghostly disturbances after their grandmother dies. It's a decent effort for the genre but the scares didn't really work for me, the film feels like a rehash of something like a U. S. horror film of the same genre, with an Indonesian setting. So, nothing new in terms of filmmaking but I think it's worth a watch. There is a nice truck scene that stood out in terms of practical FX.

Not Bad But Nothing Too Original
It needs better actors and a script
Ian the youngest son turned out to be the demon's seed. Their mother who was a singer couldn't have her own children so she made a deal with the devil in a satanic cult and had children. After she died, the members of the cult asked for the kid and haunted them. The only scene that impressed me was when the son of Ustad were hit by a truck while riding his bike and died. I didn't like the actors at all except for the one playing the mute boy Ian. The setting was impressive and creepy. The house by the Islamic graveyard and the surrounding tropical forest gave a feeling of isolation. And the water well in the house was also spooky and could have been used better than this. All in all it was a lot less successful than Impetigore which is the first Indonesian movie I watched.
We don't pray.
This is a dubbed Indonesian film. In the first 20 minutes, we meet the family and Mama dies. Weird things are happening. We discover later in the film, Mama was barren and prayed to Satan for children rather than Allah. As a result, the youngest son must be given up on his seventh birthday. Ian, the youngest will soon turn seven.
The film was dull and lifeless for the most part. Like so many horror films the action is end-loaded.
Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.
