I LOVE this movie! The main actress/writer is a revelation! The whole cast is so tight you wonder why you haven't seen more of these faces. The first half hour flies by at a clip, great soundtrack, great performances, great direction, great writing. Can't wait to see more from these creators!

Tera Wong delivers Chinese food for her mother's struggling restaurant located in the "Low Bottoms," an infamous south Los Angeles neighborhood. Everyone around her, including her unpredictable brother (Saren),are financially trapped in this crime and violence-ridden area. Her fortune changes when Tera takes a job from the local drug kingpin (Lalo) and begins moving his product inside her take-out food containers. With the cash rolling in, Tera intends to move the family restaurant to the suburbs and go clean. But after a series of tragic events, the dream that Tera built on a foundation of deception may crumble.

Turned it off.
Looked so cheap. Seen better visuals shot on a phone. Either overly lit or colour corrected to hell. Just visual vomit. Was boring too. Tried to give it a chance but life is too short to waste on pointless drivel.

Good start then falls flat
I really wanted to like this film as it had a lot of potential but ultimately it failed on all fronts. The leading actress' performance was wooden to say the least, terrible dialogue, stilted editing and poor choice of camera angles. The plot falls apart after the first third of the movie and at the end, I was left wondering "Really?" Is that the best they could have come up with?"
