I'm so sorry I watched this.
I would be tempted to give it a 1 but I usually rate a losing movie a 4. The lowest I have I think has been a 3. The photography isn't bad. I can say the same for what little there is with it. The script and the acting is a disaster in my opinion.
One person said it is California humor and I would agree that part of the country can be a little strange but this is beyond what I have ever experienced there.
Unless you are killing time as you cleanup around your place don't bother to watch it unless your reviewing it for a film class.
Plot summary
Jamie is just trying to buy some lighter fluid for a 4th of July cookout. Actually, he bought the lighter fluid already, it's just that he left it at the store, and he already walked the whole way back. His roommate's out of town, so he could probably just borrow his bike, but that bike also means everything to him and Jamie is already behind on rent. It's too bad a chance encounter on the way fuels a chain reaction of terrible luck and frustrating situations that threaten to spin his life out of control.

Waste of time unless your into this type of mindless humor
I set up an account to review the movie after 37 years!
It's mildly entertaining. The main character is very likable and, at times, funny. Not the worst movie I've seen, certainly not the best.
Didn't laugh once.
I like to think I have a good sense of humour and can take something from any genre but this was just dull and boring to the point where I literally wanted to slap some of the characters.
We basically spend a day in the life of the most boring man on the planet who is then out bored by friends, friends of friends and random encounters.
The problem with writing, directing and staring in a production like this is that if you don't allow other peoples input or criticism then it's all on you and sadly Andre Hyland, it's all on you.
I gave it 2 stars as the gummy bear scene was mildly amusing but the rest was like spending a day with a distant cousin who you just met and had nothing in common with.
