I think this is a beautiful film with beautiful humans and a beautiful message. I truly hope that anyone who watches this is able to set aside their assumptions and biases and just be open. Just because society says something over and over doesn't mean its true.

Plot summary
The Body Fights Back is a feature documentary about people navigating the paradoxes of diet culture. While promises of happiness, desirability and perfection are irresistible, joy and contentment remain out of reach. Personal stories from vastly different backgrounds quickly merge into a shockingly similar experience of battling one's body. Self-starvation and compulsive exercise bring temporary satisfaction, only to be replaces with binging and purging soon after. Surprisingly, none of it has much to do with food. Featuring exclusive footage from London's contemporary anti-diet movement and fascinating personal archives, the film offers a unique insight into the complexity of eating disorders, body image struggles and most importantly, the socio-economic realities of health.

A Important Message That Most Won't Absorb
An apt title...
The body fights back is right... These twenty something's should go visit their local hospital's bariatric wards (they usually keep them close to the morgue so porters don't have to push them so far)
Quote by a young person in the end credits.. "unsubscribe from the idea that fat equals unhealthy"
The documentary maker should go back in twenty years and ask that person do they still feel the same way now they have diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease etc and can't walk up a flight of stairs without stopping!
So what's driving all this? Could it be a $2.4 trillion global fashion industry looking to normalise the clinical obesity timebomb the developed world is afflicted with or the food industry that caused it?

Eat less crap. Exercise. Done. You'll live longer, feel better and ultimately be happier. Anything beyond that is not weight associated, but rather environmentally conditioned mental, emotional, spiritual etc. Issues. Quit making excuses and get to work or dont and stop whinging about it.
