A beautiful film made with great love for the people of Chukotka. At the declared documentary, it all-not absolutely documentary, in it there is a subject mythological line, and quite to itself the sharp plot forcing to empathize with the events on the screen at all less (and personally at me it turned out much more),than in good art cinema. I was at a specially organized viewing in Lenfilm, along with folk dances and the opportunity to communicate with the Director. The film caused a lot of emotions in the audience, who said very warm thanks to the Director, under each of which I am ready to subscribe. The conversation went on for a very long time - everyone asked how these nice tough people from your movie live, whether they have a future, whether their past has not been erased from their memory. Such is the power of this film. Translate with google, sorry
Plot summary
The story of everyday survival of the traditional sea hunters of the Bering Strait in the Far East of Russia is enriched with animated Inuit myths that at times prevail reality. This is a visually impressive cinematic parable about the vitality of the ancient Arctic culture.
