Long Island neighbors break down when the U.S. infrastructure breaks down. As far as we know for a fact it might only be local but the characters talk about it being national. People get strange quickly but this felt more like the short used to get funding. No effects to speak of, I mean not even cheap and easy ones. The actors look like the director's friends. The women look the same whether they are supposed to be children or middle aged housewives. All the men are old and fat yet the women think they are ALL THAT. Hmm. Then the wife pays WAY to dearly for being just as flawed as her husband. Or anyone else for that matter.
Plot summary
Mark and Melissa have been in an unhappy marriage for some time now. A suburban couple with no children, living in the same place for ten years who don't know each other let alone their neighbors. On his way home from work the radio goes dead. Mark comes home to find Melissa in the dark. There's no water or power. A blackout has occurred they assume only to find out it's a cyber attack that has swept the nation. Quickly things escalate as they start to meet their neighbors and find themselves in a struggle for survival as their own demons start to come out. Being in the dark has never been so enlightening.

I'm not sure what I just watched but it was filmed on a Rebel!
What can happen in this film is already happening
Against a backdrop of the unsettling possibility of a complete and total breakdown of organized society structure at the hands of nefarious parties who wish to do harm, an everyday normal existence of one suburban couple is upended, forcing them to take inventory of their own lives with each other as well as their relationship with the world around them. What would you do if everything around you that you normally take for granted was no longer the same, no longer available, no longer within reach? How would you handle The F3ar of not knowing what comes next? Watch this film and see. Highly stylized cinematography with twists and turns that keep you guessing what? Who? Where? How?
