This movie has everything, amazing story, scary moments which anyone wants in Horror movie. It's comparable to Conjuring and Nun. It has more scary moments than both of them. Being a fan of Conjuring and Nun horror movies, whatever, I watched it won't satisfied my expectations as it's hard to find a decent horror movie with good storyline. Actually, all horror movies are same, the same haunted house story or a person being possessed. However, this story is so broad. It not only has several scary moments but also has some mysteries too. This is just wholesome, that's I really wanted in a horror movie. Perfection!!

Wow, this is terrifying
uninspired
It's 1993. Lisa Wyrick (Abigail Spencer) is medicated for her ghostly visions of her mother. She moves out to remote Pine Mountain, Georgia with her young daughter Heidi (Emily Alyn Lind) and husband Andy (Chad Michael Murray). Aunt Joyce (Katee Sackhoff) comes to visit after another breakup. Heidi starts having visions herself while Lisa's continue. Heidi sees Mr. Gordy, the late previous owner of the property which was a stop in the underground railroad.
I like everybody in the cast and that buys a lot of goodwill for a small horror like this. The first half is fine even if it lacks freshness. It's a basic ghost story in a remote location. It doesn't get much more basic horror than this. Emily is a good little actress and this could have been a good little horror from the little girl's point of view. The horror is done without much real scares. It gets rather derivative and uninspired.
Bog standard ghosthouse spooker
The original HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT was an entirely run-of-the-mill ghosthouse spooker, so I don't know why I expected any differently of this one. And, indeed, THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT 2 is an entirely predictable addition to the usual genre of modern haunted house movies. An unsuspecting family move into an old house and soon discover that terrible events of the past are coming to life via some vengeful spirits.
So far, so pedestrian, and sadly this film has very little going for it. Fans who are entirely undemanding of where or how they receive their ghostly chills may enjoy it a little, but the rest of us will be bored by the too-dark cinematography, which turns everything blue (like 99% of similar films); the bland cast members, who can bring no life to their thankless roles; and the entire lack of decent characters. Instead we get the usual CGI augmented ghost scares, and not a lot else.
