I just hope younger people realise there is no truth in this account of sharon tate's murder. while it has been said she had visions or dreams beforehand that is the only semi truth in this movie. facts are distorted beyond belief. it goes into some rubbish about how our decisions control our fate and we can somehow change that. this seem pretty disrespectful to her family also. makes her out to be a bit crazy. it's an okay movie but twists history way out of all proportion so should not be taken seriously.

i'm pretty stunned by this
"I think my whole life has been decided by fate."
Very disappointed in this film. What I thought would be an introspective look at the final days of the aspiring actress turned into a creepy reimagining of the horrific events of August 8th, 1969, when members of the Manson Family butchered her along with several friends staying at the home she shared with director Roman Polanski. With a half century gone by now, this must be the year that film makers are capitalizing on that terrible event, what with Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood", and the lesser known documentary, "Manson: Music From an Unsound Mind". Whereas you expect a fair degree of poetic license with a Tarantino flick, and his had it in spades, this one has you buying in to the circumstances of Tate's obsession with fate and whether one's destiny is determined by the choices one makes, or rather merely coincidence. That existential aspect of the story pervades throughout the first half, but then descends into a quagmire of dream sequence horror only to be relived once again by the Manson victims, but this time with a twist. If one is to use one's imagination, it would appear that the ghost of Sharon Tate and her friends examine the brutal aftermath of the Manson gang horror as the police and newspaper reporters arrive to perform their voyeuristic ritual. The only semblance of reality in the picture derives from a brief black and white clip of Polanski and Tate during happier times. Virtually all the rest is a fevered nightmare of what could have been, even though eclipsed by the events that actually did occur.
Charlie Something
The story concerns Sharon Tate (Hilary Duff) having nightmares and premonitions leading up to the fatal evening. They play the killing scene over a few times. It is not as graphic as it could have been. We know how it ends, okay not the spirits meandering over their corpses, but everything else because it is history and they played it a few times. The story itself was not convincing. The language was out of sorts. The way they talked and the selection of adjectives and adverbs while not anachronistic, it wasn't period, although they did fit in a "those cats" once that seemed forced by the actress.
