Just after watching a few minutes my thought about The Hike was: WoW, someone got a cheap digital camera and invited his friends to make an recap of a movie.
No, sorry but this is not worth watching.

Plot summary
A couple from East Tennessee goes on a three day hike in the Great Smoky Mountains. The fun starts to dissipate when they start finding evidence of possible criminal activity scattered throughout the trails, and the deeper they plunge into the wilderness, the more they feel like they are being watched. Things take a turn for the worse when the couple runs into a trio of intimidating strangers. Their intentions are unclear, and the couple tries everything to escape the woods before violence ensues with their new adversaries. Eventually, another source of terror reveals itself, building up to the final fight between good and evil.

Amateurish crap
Waste of time
This movie has everything a movie should avoid: terrible acting, shallow characters, uninspiring storyline, amateur direction and weird musical score. What else can go wrong with this movie?
Well add to that list an ultra low budget, which means zero production value (think homemade costumes and someone's little brother behind the bushes making sound effects.)
The cherry on top has got to be the blood-curdling banshee screaming. Pumpkin where are you??? Listening to the screams was about as much fun as being eaten alive by a pack of zombies. Apparently someone thought this would flop would pop, but I have to disagree.
While I applaud the effort, that doesn't change the fact that this is a really bad movie. And it's movies like this that give the horror genre a bad reputation.
Garbage in, garbage out
On the plus side, literally within the seconds you will learn that this movie belongs in the massive pile of moviemaking flops. Yes I mean that literally. I call that a plus because you have early warning to make a cataclysmic decision to endure unimaginable pain for 90 minutes or flip the channel and set yourself free! Free! Free!
On the negative side, well, where to begin? This "movie", or rather this assemblage of shrill and cringe worthy gasps, groans and burps, is like nothing you'll ever experience again (if you are lucky). Innate talent has never been so distant from a group of people. The best way to sum it up is to say that this movie is a misguided and deluded interpretation of what constitutes the makings of a movie, in other words, garbage in and garbage out.
