This is a low budget sports documentary that features great interviews, good camera work, and an interesting story. The problem is the editing is atrocious. It looks and feels like someone was learning how to use iMovie while they were trying to make a documentary. Sometimes text half fades out before being cut out completely. Sometimes name cards pop in awkwardly line by line with some of the text having a drop shadow and other parts not. They use a stock text animation constantly that makes it really difficult to read the actual text because you're trying to read this moving text that's going in two different directions, but then aren't given enough time to do so. They present football scores this way and it's so annoying to try and read a sports score that isn't lined up correctly.
It's also completely over produced and edited at such a fast pace that the audience never has a chance to feel the ups and downs of the story. It's all the same note and the editor tries to fix this with horrible music choices that don't even fade in or out properly half the time.
There is an overabundance of transitions used and to make things worse they're used improperly. It's a clear sign of someone who has no idea what they're doing and are trying to cover it up by attempting to do too much.

So glad I watched this documentary!
First of all, I would like to say I have watched a good number of movies, documentaries, etc. in my day and this is my first and only Review I've ever posted. I literally had to create an IMDB account in order to do so. I guess his story really resonated with me for one reason or another. Being originally from Philadelphia (Go E A G L E S) and growing up in South Florida my whole life, I was reluctant to spend an hour and a half watching a documentary about an Arkansas "hometown hero" who I only vaguely remember. That is to say I really had never heard his story just recall the name. Which is a pretty great football name. To quote one of the reporters. in the documentary. Anyway, before I decided to click "Watch Now" I had navigated away from this flick several times on Amazon Prime but I found myself (for reasons unknown) going back again and again until I finally gave it a shot. I plan on sharing this with my wife and kids as there are a lot of wonderful life lessons. Most important of all is that in this short life you have to grow up and do what you dreamed of doing and not live out the dreams of others. In all honesty, I guess it all boils down to is that I really like this guy. He has had a roller coaster of a life and went from receiving ultimate praise to unending hate for not fulfilling other people's dreams of superstardom. Through it all he seemed to remain himself. Which is probably why he didn't become NFL quarterback. That being said I wish I had some more friends like him.
Short version: definitely worth waitching!
Big Waste of Time
A long story about nothing. I had no idea who Mitch was but I decided to watch anyway because it was on Amazon. This documentary starts out mediocre and just dives into nothing. The music is bad. The long, slow dialog is bad. There aren't even very many highlights that compel a non-biased viewer to believe he could throw a perfect spiral. I wish him the best, but I wish I could get the wasted time watching this back. The only thing stolen was time.
