The fact that they made a full length documentary gave me the impression that there was more to the story than I thought. I was wrong. This doc should have been 20-30mins long. It's not poorly done, it's just starved for content, so they filled the space with a bunch of boring and useless footage of the family that runs the last Blockbuster. I mean, they even show the store manager going to check the mail.
Sooooooo boringgggg and uninteresting.

Boy...that should have been 20 minutes long
Very interesting
People need to review things for the quality of the production and leave your personal opinions out of it. This is a documentary on the last Blockbuster video store which was one of the most popular places to rent videos DVD/VHS for roughly thirty years. It is not a documentary about Blockbuster the mega corporation. It is about a single, privately owned store in a remote location which has die hard fans and supporters keep it running.
The production is actually very good. It shows the day to day routine of the owner and the few remaining employees and those customers who visit the store to rent movies. It also has die hard fans who appear just so they can visit their memories. Who, that lived during the heyday, doesn't remember the carpets? Or the popcorn machine?
While not everyone will like this documentary, it does have a certain quality to it which makes it appealing from a historical view. I thought it was well done and the director did a good job of keeping the pace and information balanced.
Cool story
A really cool story about the last blockbuster, with a bit of history on the rise and fall of the video rental mogul. The documentary style was a bit disjointed, but the celebrity interviews were fun. Interesting stories and just a small piece of history.
