I liked it a lot. The script was well done and the film moved along nicely. The acting was really superb I though. The guy playing Gilbert was fantastic. The girls were very sexy and did their parts very well. I couldnt help but feel sorry for Ben Hall and his wife...They were truly two lost souls. On the other hand Hall's girlfriend was SMOKIN hot my friends. Gads what a beauty. They know how to grow their women down under and thats a fact. And they are natural beauties too thank you. The movie is very good, basically a western with aussie accents or whatever...ha. Enjoy, especially you like horses and old guns and pretty women and action. The actor who played Ben Hall is sorta a cross between Clint Walker and Mel Gibson...he seems to be able to act also.

What is The Felons Apprehension Act ?
This production is based on the true story of Ben Hall the infamous and legendary Australian bushranger. Unfortunately we don't see much of his exciting life, just the last 9 months. Sort of like watching "The Legend of Butch and Sundance" with the film starting in Bolivia but not as short as Monty Python's "Death of Mary, Queen of Scots." The film could have just as easily been titled, "The Death of Ben Hall" as it failed to show us why the man was legendary, just why he was dead.
The Ben Hall (Jack Martin) in this film is dull and lifeless. He is melancholy about being separated from his son. Personalty is reserved exclusively for John Gilbert (Jamie Coffa) a flamboyant outlaw. Like so many low budget films the high budget past was "as read." It has all the components of an outlaw western, but knowing what they left out made the film a disappointment.
Guide" F-word. Implied sex. Very brief nudity.
Long live the fake reviews on here! What a shame.
The amount of ten star reviews for this movie is so laughable. It's obvious they were given by people that were involved or knew somebody that was involved in this movie. You want to know which people? Just click on the names of the reviewers that gave a high rating and you will see that they only reviewed one movie. IMDb should not allow new reviewers to give a ten star review unless they continue reviewing afterwards. The Legend Of Ben Hall is just a mediocre movie. Only the settings like the landscapes were worth seeing. The acting is for sure not great, sometimes just okay but sometimes also bad. The story itself is a so-called true story. Well if that's the case there must have been alot of dumb Australians at that time. Everybody likes to see outlaws robbing banks, getting the money from them is like stealing from an even bigger thief. But these outlaws just rob normal people, and those same normal people just welcome them in their lifes, bars, houses. It's just too ridiculous for words. The action scenes are also very bad, the unlikeliness of outlaws escaping so easely everytime they get cornered is just too stupid for words. Believe me it was really bad. Add on that that the three outlaws look like they came straight out of a choir and don't look anything like dangerous and it's almost laughable. The movie is also extremely long for the story it is. You are litteraly waiting for it to end as fast as possible. I think I checked at least a dozen times to see how long I had to endure this movie even more. And when I read that this movie won some awards in Australia I'm really wondering with what other garbage it was competing. Don't waste your time on this one.
