You're not seeing a classic movie here but I really Enjoyed it...a lot! I'm not familiar with music of Ludacris but what a surprise. I'd watch any movie he'd be in. I hope he does more acting. His wife in movie was cast perfectly! Thanks for the enjoyment I had watching this movie. I believe It's based on a true story.

Found this movie on Amazon Prime, remembered seeing the trailer a while back and figured I'd give a chance. Glad I did! It's was good, I enjoyed it a lot, it had moments where I laughed, smiled, and even got emotional. It's a good movie to watch atleast once. I recommend it if you haven't come across it yet.

If this had been written as fiction, no one would believe this couple chose such a damaged child, or that a black father would select a white boy who would be such a challenge. We have to imagine the adoption facility didn't reveal every problematic issue with John but generally adoptive parents are given the opportunity to review a child's folder and observe him before actually agreeing to take them in. The fact the adoptive parents seemed to know the real story behind why he was there was a bit confusing since the original arrest was based on a lie. But the fact this is a true story is what really puts this film over the top on inspiring films of our time in the league of The Blind Side and Coach Carter. I'm sure they left out a lot of the redundancy of just how difficult this relationship was in its formation and chose to show just enough of the parts that wind through to the successes. This couple showed real commitment, unlike a lot of adoptive parents who return kids more frequently than cute shoes that were too uncomfortable to walk in. I thought the film was wonderfully done, all the acting was great, and the BMX was pretty cool, too. Great soundtrack.
