Clancy is a 15 year old girl in suburbia. She fights with her overprotective mother (Malin Akerman). Her father (Ken Marino) is a baker. Her younger brother Kevin tells tall tales. Her best friend Mim is sassy. Kevin has a sleepover with friend Lewis. The four kids are launched into a night of crazy adventures when the parents get kidnapped and they discover that their mother is a former high class thief in witness protection. The mother is reunited with former lover Leo (Joe Manganiello) to steal a valuable crown.

I like all the actors. This is like a combination of Spy Kids and Adventures in Babysitting except less, stupider, and cheaper. It's not the end of the world. I still like the characters for the most part. The kids are all great but it probably has too much of the adults. Jay should definitely be a grizzly old man living in the abandoned subway. This is a Netflix flick which seems to be more than a Disney TV movie but less than a full theatrical release.

We are introduced to the Finch Family, a good New England name of folks who live outside of Boston. Mom (Malin Akerman ) had a secret life in the past as an international thief that has now caught up with her as she is coerced back into the business. She leaves a Da Vinci Code level of clues that her daughter Sadie Stanley aka Kim Possible must decode and save the day.

This was a family film with a bevy of fun characters, similar to the spy kid stuff. Good film for family night. Don't break dance on a restroom floor no matter how clean it looks.

Which with many Sleepovers is the case, right? I mean you don't just go to someone elses house, get into your PJs (don't laugh people still do that) and then fall asleep. But this is not about that of course. It is about a family that has a secret ... or two. And it is also a very funny movie! Kids and adults are spot on - really good performances. In fact I even went so far as to say, that if they Remake American Pie (again don't laugh, weirder things have happened),they'd have the perfect dad for the role of the ... dad! And he plays the dad here too.

You may be able to tell the humor of the movie then, but it also has some fine action scenes. The combination is not for everyone to enjoy, but those that are into it and suspend their disbelief will have quite the fun with this movie. And you should! Just sit back, relax and enjoy the silly ride
