Don't believe the bad reviews. Very powerful movie.

I strongly recommend, it is slow burning and Sandra Bullock as always plays beautifully.

It feels very real and I liked the way they made Bullock unlikable and violent when in reality she sacrificed herself to protect her sister.

I didn't guess, usually I do, so that was a bonus for me.

Everyone can forgive Sandra Bullock, yes?

But that is not the question here is it? Because we are talking about a character ... also it is way more complex than that. Sometimes things are being done, that cannot be undone - and even when we think we know what went down, because we heard and kind of saw it ... there is more to the story. Not that it a big difference when it comes to guilt or who is responsible maybe ... but deeper cuts and all that.

Psychologically speaking, there is much to uncover here. And Sandra really is wonderful in that quite vulnerable role. Not sure if guns are a thing where you live, but there are arguments to be made here ... I know which ones I would make, but let's leave that aside for now.

Wonderful supporting cast and a touching story. I may have given it a star more than it would "normally" deserve, but that is me being me ... can't help myself ... or is it Sandra who can't help herself? Maybe she can help someone else though ...

I shot the sheriff

Ruth (Sandra Bullock) shot the sheriff as he attempted to repossess their home. Ruth was raising and protecting her baby sister who was 5 at the time. Twenty years later Ruth is out of prison and wants to meet her sister who is high school age. (Someone didn't do the math). The show becomes "Everybody hate Ruth" as the sons of the deceased are contemplating revenge.

It is a slow burn. This is a real role for Bullock and not her comedy acting. Could get a nomination.

Guide: F-word. Brief sex. No nudity.
