This magical 7-minute animation short feature is written and directed by Taylor Meacham, of DreamWorks Animation, and it premiered at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in France in June 2020. Inspired by his Father, Meacham shares how an Adult has the precious opportunity to give a Child the ability to dream of their own possibilities. The retro feel of this story is perfectly set by the French influenced, and European styles of animation. Like the Child in this animation short, Meacham is also the Untapped Talent that was found when he got to pitch his own idea, and was given the chance to direct. Being a Production Coordinator in Production Support of DreamWorks Animation, Meacham is now an inspiration to others who also hope to see their dreams come true. I thoroughly enjoyed To:Gerard.

Plot summary
Toward the doldrums end of his shift, a sprightly mailman sorts envelopes and packages nimbly with the flick of a wrist. Despite working in a post office all his life, Gerard has dreamed of one day finding his audience as a famous magician like his childhood hero. With effortless dexterity that accompanies mastery, this delightfully overgrown kid practices magic every day with a special coin...a gift from The Great Vivonti. When an inquisitive young girl named Jules wanders upon his practiced routine, she's dazzled by his talents. With the help of his cherished coin, Gerard charms his first-ever audience member with an impromptu magic show. In this moment, two artists-separated by decades-unknowingly set off a chain reaction that will change both of their lives forever.
