It's absolutely a coming of age film filled with some complex people and some complex, delightfully quirky people.
The kids are good actors and it's fun to see them grow.
It's a but wacky at times, but that seems to be part of its charm. And the aunt is the best odd duck character I've had the pleasure of seeing in ages! The whole film is worth it just the watch her.
This is a family friendly movie - and the English dubbing excellent. Enjoy!!

A sweet coming of age film
fun experience
A very nice movie, and the performance of the young actors was impressive, and the role of the actor in the role of Valdik was great. The beginning of the film had interests in the character of Valdick, but with the development and escalation of events, he had other interests, and when his mother's illness was revealed, he knew the extent of the responsibility he had. One of the best dialogues in the film was the dialogue with the grandfather. A very nice dialogue, but in the movie they did not focus on building other characters such as Stashik and like Auntie, the lights were not focused right, my final rating is 8/10, a nice movie worth watching.
Coming Of Age Story
At first you think a lot of the characters are obnoxious. The main character is spoiled, and the Auntie pushes him too hard too fast during a difficult time. Even one of the characters uses the phrase burning the candle at both ends, but it's not addressed further than that. Which is a tiny bit problematic for me, even though he does gain more independence.
But it's a coming of age story where most of the characters do grow as people along the way. They become a lot more likable too. Not just the main character.
It's not the best coming of age story I've seen with similar themes, but I think it's got some pretty good moments in there that make it worth watching. I don't really see it as a comedy as listed, but it has some pretty nice light moments. I really liked how it covered the different types of lies people tell.
Overall worth a watch I think.
