I reckon pun intended, with the Houseboat and all that. But that aside, the movie is quite the social drama and might work better with those who feel drawn to movies like this one, than viewers who like to have more ... suspense and action happening.

Now if the latter is the case, I have no idea how you got here, but beware what you might get into watching. Maybe you just found it on a streaming network and thought, let's see if this is any good. Very low pace, but really more than stellar performances - with a rock solid story to back it all up. Who doesn't feel for a mother - especially the one here, where issues are thrown at her from every side she can look at - and those she doesn't even see.

Quality decent social movie,very good all around cast,with its social comment,sentimental but not overplayed.very good i recommend it!!!!
