The Second Amendment protects gun owners. End of story.

Gun Education, Not Gun Control "It's not a gun control problem, it's a culture control problem." The entire history of gun control has been hellbent on depriving minorities of their rights. Before the founding of the United States, some colonies prohibited freedmen, slaves, and indentured servants from possessing firearms. Others prevented Catholics from gun ownership. Massachusetts prohibited gunsmiths from repairing or selling firearms to Native Americans.

Despite being lauded as a progressive necessity, gun control, at its core, has always been discriminatory against ethnic, political, and religious minorities, as well as the poorest members of our society.

Gun control, further, does not make dangerous neighborhoods safer. Instead, it forces the disadvantaged to choose between abiding by gun-control laws or defending their own families.

The solution is for the government to stop making it so difficult and so expensive for people to defend themselves.

We must recognize that all Americans have an equal right to defend themselves, regardless of race or income. Knowledge is power. The problem with knowledge among our young people today, is that they are not receiving it. Our teens are being brainwashed by a culture, primarily Hollywood, who is training our kids how to kill through violent media including TV shows, movies and video games. And we wonder why our kids are picking up guns and not thinking twice about pointing it at their classmates and pulling the trigger.

Combine that with students no longer being taught what the United States Constitution entails in our school system today, and we have a major disaster on our hands. The Second Amendment, in particular, protects the right of the people to keep and bear arms and was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments contained in the Bill of Rights. When students are not being taught their fundamental rights and learning from an entertainment industry daily training them how to solve conflict through violence, we have an uneducated, misinformed, anxiety-ridden Generation Z ready to blame whatever the secular media tells them to blame.

In the wake of the recent horrific school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where 17 innocent people lost their lives, the finger was quickly pointed at guns as being the issue. This couldn't be further from the truth. Guns are not the problem, it's the people who pull the trigger who have a problem. It could be a heart problem, uneducated problem, misinformed problem or a whole host of other problems. We must stop pointing the finger at the wrong things and start digging deep at what is causing the rise in violence.

Questions we should be asking are:

Why are teens killing their peers?

How are these teens coming to the conclusion that violence is the way to solve problems?

Why are the red flags of teens who are in crisis not being reported or if they are reported, they are not investigated further and offered help?

Why are laws not enforced in the entertainment industry to stop Hollywood from promoting behaviors that are illegal for teens to do? For example: glorifying drinking among our kids when it's illegal for kids to drink.

Why are video game ratings not enforced when a 10-year-old is in the check out lane buying a game that's only allowed for people 18 years of age or older?

What happened to America's kids once prayer, God, the Bible and anything else Christian related was stripped from our country's schools?

Why is evolution (we came from a rock),which is belief system, allowed in our classrooms, but Creationism (God created us) not allowed? We should have equal choice available in our education system today. Both of these are religions.

Point is, in every facet of society today, kids are being conditioned to believe, act and become anything but what God has called them to be. We can see the result of that in our world today. Loss of vision and purpose and people perish. Sad thing is, we are no longer just talking about our kids not living a successful life. We are literally talking about kids perishing as a result. Lives cut short, because we as a country are failing at training our kids the way God has called us to raise them.

To the policy makers in Washington D. C., we must keep the Second Amendment, so that every American can protect their loved ones from the people who are being brainwashed. Those that fight for obliterating the Second Amendment would quickly change their mind if someone was holding them at gunpoint. Criminals would never hand over their guns if the Second Amendment was ditched, hence leaving innocent Americans unarmed when attacked.

I also do not believe a majority of liberal news today due to the lies being promoted as truth just to get the Second Amendment repealed. This major misinformation then fuels an unnecessary fire among the uninformed, uneducated, brainwashed teens who then start a revolution with this "student walk out" chaos along with the upcoming March 24th protests. In fact, the very same celebrities promoting violence in entertainment through music, film, TV and video games are supporting this upcoming March for Our Lives protest by doing several free concerts for their fans. Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande are some of the celebrities, just to name a few. Don't fall for Hollywood's hypocrisy.

What's the solution? As Christians, we need to run for leadership positions in our country in order to restore value to life, bring back morals and raise the standards of character for the sake of the next generation. This means running for political office, getting on our school boards and reporting the news truthfully. Prayer is necessary, yes, but so is action! They will be taking care of us sooner than later. However, if we don't invest in them now, they will not see the need to take care of us later.

Can we get this country back to it's original purpose? Yes, but it will take every Christian to do exactly what God is calling us to do and work together as believers in Christ to make that happen. If we each did what God was calling us to do we would have a completely different nation. What is God calling you to do? What problem can you solve? Let Him use you to get this country back on track for the sake of our kids. As I recently heard at a Christian Women in Media Association (CWIMA) event, "If you're not scared to do what God has called you to do, then you're not dreaming big enough." Together - let's get this country back on track.

As a former actress, I know the lies of Hollywood first-hand. For the past 15 years I've been traveling the globe sharing my show called Hollywood Exposed. The best way we can make sure our kids are not brainwashed by today's media, is by exposing the lies and teaching them truth - God's word. I have a Parent Media Guide that will help parents do a pop culture purge in their home and make sure their kids are not corrupted by a backwards society. To get this valuable information, you can text the words MEDIAGUIDE (no spaces) to the number 44222. In addition, download the newly launched Counter Culture Mom app to stay updated on the latest pop culture news. As a mom of 4 kids 9 and under, I want to encourage you to stay diligent on protecting your kids from the messages they ingest. Let's raise world-changers together who know the truth and can decipher the lies.

The best of the numerous films springing forth from this tragedy

Of the many films, long & short, that have come out of the Parkland school shooting, this is the best. This film is honest and accurate without being pushy & exploitative. Highly recommended, if you can find it.
