It's got the style, it's got the swag, it's got everything mass movie devotees idolize. Typically, these masala movies don't seem to care much about the stories; as they get too busy focusing on overly stylized presentations. To my surprise, a rare exception has been made.

Even if the execution had taken a chaotic route, the essence of the story stayed unscathed. The makers put all their bets mainly on two things; One, Nani's impeccable screen presence and Two, his ability (quite unproven back then) to conduct himself in the role of a vengeful character with antagonistic shades.

Now looking at the outcome, it is safe to say that their gamble paid off, unfortunately not so much in other segments! The prime example is the dull & drab romance between Sudheer Babu and Nivetha Thomas; that not only fell flat for the most part but also unnecessarily slowed down the natural flow of the narrative.

Regardless, "V" still successfully comes off as one of the better entertainers for the masses.

A reasonably decent pastime!

If u don't have enough scripts to make..copy the old revenge theme and make it in a lavish or stylish way. Screenplay is lagging especially in second hour. The total flashback episode was pinned down. Sound and editing departments are good. Coming to performances Sudheer Babu is ok as a police officer. Nani is a pyscho killer. He goes overboard with his acting. Nivetha and Aditi..ok. The movies is a mixed pack of Various films we have seen in the past. V for Vendetta ,Seven,Zodiac etc and typical Indian plot lines including Charity issues,Cat and mouse play , Religious rights and other allegations. Okayish movie. I can't say thriller because it offers nothing new.

Start to finish this is a great movie... maybe because I didn't expect much but I really enjoyed it.
