At first, having the hand drawn backgrounds with CGI people seemed a clash of visual styles, but it works.

This is good storytelling and the characters are likeable.

It's Been So So So SO Long Since I Last Saw A Good Story. It Took Me Back To The Days Of My Childhood, When Stories Were So Great. If You Want To Know What Is The Ultimate Form Of A Story; This Is The Example If You Ask Me. And The Music Was Great Too. Really Recommended For People Who Seek A Good Story Telling. The Hidden Detail Are Something That Not Everybody Can Notice. For Example The Beginning Scene Where Swords Are Intertwined Between Roots. {This Is Not A Spoiler, Right?!.}You Think These Ideas Are Already Old ... And Bam ... This Masterpiece Happens.

I started to watch and a few times thought of stopping. The score was ok, the animation seemed a bit simple, and wasn't gripped initially but pleased I stuck with it. It really grew on me, such a lovely "simple" story and really warm. A joy to watch as the story unfolded. All you need is a good tale with characters that draw you in, and this is what it was. In such dark times it was a distraction and I really liked it.
