Well maybe for some, but I reckon most will not consider the movie itself a big show ... now obviously I'm having some fun with ... wordplay. Paul Wight also known to many as the Big Show in the WWE is one of the main characters at hand here.
The movie itself is nothing you won't expect from an action thriller of its kind. I can only imagine that the Soskas (twin directing sisters) did this for the money, not because they had the idea to do a movie like that. Having said that, I reckon it can be fun to direct something like this. Not having to wonder too much what to do or where to go. The movie practically writes itself.
Not trying to put it down, some will have more fun with this than others of course. And putting TV Clark Kent in here might help too. I've seen him act in other independent productions, so when it is needed he is up to the task. Do not judge him from this one effort here. He can only do so much with the material he is given (as I noted with the directors too - and can be generally applied to this)

Big show?
The Big Show in the big house.
With them recently doing excellent detailed interviews with fellow film makers at the 2021 online Cine-Excess Film Festival,I felt this was the best time to see a flick from the Soska's. Curious about the sisters doing a non-Horror,I got set to see the vendetta get unleashed.
View on the film:
Revealing during a interview at the 2019 Cine-Excess Film Festival that they signed up to work at WWE Studios,at a time when they had seriously considered quitting film making, due to the challenges in getting productions rolling, directing duo sisters Jen & Sylvia Soska bring their distinctive Body Horror vibes to the Action flick, with the Soska's snapping body modifications into hard-knuckle Action set-pieces, via wonderfully gory close-ups of blood pouring out from the repeatedly smashed open wounds of the prisoners.
Walking round as the biggest heel in the block with (as Michael Cole called them) his "Typewriter-like hands" raised, Paul "The Big Show" Wight gives a delightfully gruff turn as boo-hiss baddie Abbott, who Wight has stomp a mudhole into any fellow inmate who does not follow his orders, as Dean Cain gives Danvers a simmering aggression, which he unleashes as Danvers decides to end his vendetta.
Dean Cain in the next Tarantino
The movie is crap. Yeah, crap.
But Dean Cain is a really really good actor. I can't belive I'm writing this. But it's true. Especially in the state he's in during this movie with 60 extra pounds and an unshaved rugged apperance.
Please Quentin, put him in your next movie. That would be awesome to watch.
I swear he would do amazing.
The rest of the crew are terrible. As is the script, the cutting, the effects and everything else.
But watch it just to see if you agree with me on this one.
