This movie is cute and has heart. But the writing is terrible and I honestly couldn't get over the fact that the mom didn't pay Chloe for her babysitting and Chloe a broke college student was ok with that. It kind of ruined the movie for me.

I couldn't get over one part.
An Enjoyable Film
There is a lot of sincerity in this movie and I liked how there were a lot of topical issues that were dealt with in a way that never was super dramatic. Chloe has to deal with her moms anxiety and fears while trying to prove that she herself is not her mother. Nicolette is dealing with self esteem issues and an emotionally abusive relationship all while trying to find her next place in life. While those could be some serious elements the movie never really goes that deep. It's more about showing the everyday relationships between people and not the dramatic over-glamorized stuff; just normal conversations and reasonable reactions. I'm sure this will be one of those movies I think about from time to time as if the characters are old friends, "I wonder how they're doing now?" If you like other films like this (Ladybird, Carrie Pilby, Edge of Seventeen, etc) then you will find something unique and worth consuming in this film.
This movie has soul!
This is one of the rare movies in our times that actually have me feeling that humanity is still have a chance. After trying to watch all the meaningless and expensive content with special effects from contemporary Hollywood, I finally found a movie that actually have s story, that was told in simple bits, but has a great impact on me. At some moments I laugh, at the other I cried. This one is really touches! Well done the director and the actors. Please continue with this kind of movies!
