Very well done courtroom drama. Excellent acting and story. It keeps you guessing, even after it's over. I find it amusing that several reviewers here have gotten totally unhinged thinking it's about a presidential candidate they worship as their Messiah. His name is never uttered in the movie and it's obviously a fictional character. Too funny!
Plot summary
After assassinating the President, Amos Otis pleads self-defense and must convince the jury that America was not only under attack by its unhinged ruler - but that his actions saved the country and the world. The assassin's provocative testimony puts our country on trial and challenges the jury to side with a murderer out to save them. No one can tell if he's a mad man, a con man or savior of the world. Not even his attorney. This searing, mind-bending political thriller is in the spirit of the Twilight Zone and based on a Pulitzer Prize-nominated play. As one reviewer noted, "If you are wondering how fiction could read like our current reality, this is the story for you."

Excellent courtroom drama ala Twilight Zone
Well written and well directed movie.
It is a well written movie worth watching. Actors are well casted and script was well planned.
What makes this more interesting is the fact that the movie is consistent with legal procedures and the defenseos somewhat consistent with theories. This review comes from the perspectove of a person who foes not give a crap about liberals and democrats as others make it out to be. PS- I come from different country. And it is relatable.
The pseudo-liberal pseudo-left and violence.
They've been justifying it a lot lately. The Antifa Handbook is a great example - thuggery, assault, arson and murder are all excused against the "right" target. This flick excuses political assassination. We are where we are. If you think this kind of statement is OK, then Western liberal democracy is a carcass.
