I love dance movies, but this one didn't do it for me.

The dancing and the acting was so vacuous, it left me feeling empty inside. You didn't get to know the characters at all, it was just the lead's voice over explaining it to you, like the director really didn't trust you to understand any subtext.

Shallow and generic, but good if you want something cheesy to talk over. :)

My aversion to musicals did not obstruct my cuteness thermometer for a teen-charismatic-rejected-fun-talented film and reveal all the exaggerations, especially the final dance, which was very weak ... A lot of charisma from the characters, clearly older than theirs. characters, cute story, but nothing much different from what we see in the movies on the subject ... ... and yet, all cliché, I found it adorable and charming ...

Freestyle script and mindset among the director and producers you will have dancefilms like this. the 6 stars goes mainly to the actors that do the job for this production.

its a very unstructured structure , with obvious flops in the plot and storytelling, envisioned by a studio coach getting fired, and the next time you see him on the screen the world is a better place then anywhere else. pro-dancers are just as nerdy and explosively egoistic as pro athletes are, and i wouldnt have reached back to the causing culprits for whatever reason. so its a sunshine story like a disney world , where lack of talent combined with hard work combined with the revengefactor makes gold and a glitering price , whatever...

a comedy, no, a teeage show and dance drama yes, did i feel the groove , just a little bit, was i exhausted after the viewing, have been flat out dead in other dancing films but not tonight. did my wife like it, meeh... the grumpy old man can recommend, an almighty 6 is my definate max.
