Not sure why this is rated so low. Seems folks are trying to make up for the 10-star ratings by giving it 1, and the lower numbers apparently won out. This came across in my 'recommended' movies on Amazon, so I gave it a try. Seeing the low rating, I figured it might be one of those "so bad it's funny" movies, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was genuinely funny, and also thought the story was well executed without getting corny. Most of the characters came across as likable with redeeming qualities, and their problems were very realistic. Never heard of any of the performers, nor recall seeing them in anything else, but, while none gave Oscar-worthy performances, they were certainly passable. I think it's worth your time.

This film takes you on a journey of discovery . It's theme is love and in the tradition of Shakespeare's midsummers night dream love isn't always where you expect it .

In order to be loved you must love yourself so the advice goes and there you have a group of misfits grouped together in an eccentric bed and breakfast ran by an eccentric host and his family .

This is a true gem , it's the sort of story that generally only French cinema is able to tell well . It doesn't matter where it is it set it is a film about people and the it's the motley bunch of people that really make this film - not least the very odd son

I would hardly give this a 10, I think 6 is fair for the story, the sex is definitely unnecessary and some of the scenes should have never been included. There is a message, regarding relationships, old and new, and some truth to them. I doubt I would have spent a night in that accommodation or accepted the intrusions if I had.
