Forgettable and yet somewhat entertaining flick

This would have been a cool k-drama series, for maybe 12 or 16 episodes. I know this is suppose to be a remake of a Chinese movie, but it just seemed a bit undeveloped. It's about a surveillance team, that tracks down bad guys using the camera around the city. But they meet their biggest match when they encounter a leader that runs a crew of robbers. This flick has few quick cool moments in between, but nothing all that memorable. This is Jung Woo-sung's first role as the bad guy, and he basically plays the typical charismatic cool bad guy that is way too underdeveloped. As a matter of fact, you know almost nothing about any of the characters in this movie to even care what happens. Which is unfortunate since their seems to be some interesting character. A bit more information on their personality, background and motives would have made this movie better. It's worth a watch, but you won't be missing out on much if you miss out on this one.

Korean cinema at its best...

Hello, I will be your reviewer for the rest of this paragraph. As your reviewer, I can tell you that this thriller is one of the best of its kind ever produced anywhere in the world, and you will not be bored. In fact, you will be superbly entertained. The bad news is that, as your reviewer, I cannot tell you precisely how they pulled this off. Let me be clearer -- these sorts of "team" cop shows have been around since the 1930s G-Man pictures. In the 60s we had Mission Impossible with a dozen knockoffs in the decades that followed. Robert Redford liked this specific format a lot and did one or two in this vein. Still -- this is the point -- you have never really seen a "task force" cop film until you have seen this one. Somehow this film offers a perfect balance -- enough idiosyncratic characters to form a connection; yet simultaneously enough technology and team action to make the experience more like a sports movie (any team sport) than a simple crime film. In the west, we glorify the individual. In the east, not so much. Perhaps that is the secret? But one thing for sure - great film.

Intelligent and tense thriller with 2 great actors

It helps to know the basic premise - she is a surveillance cop undercover. He is a killer and burglar with team. There is a cat and mouse game going on as the cops chase him and his team using memory and observation and cameras. There isn't an explosion a minute so it isn't non stop action. But when the violence happens it is more exciting and scary. Han Hyo Joo is sweet and intelligent looking here. Jung Woo Sung looks quite understated and menacing playing a bad guy for a change.
