DON'T KILL IT is a fun, low budget horror movie with a tongue definitely in cheek. The hero of the piece is Dolph Lundgren, playing out his usual weary-hero-with-plenty-of-charm role, this time as a demon hunter on the trail of a murderous spirit with the power to jump from body to body. Yes, this is a blatant copy of the excellent Denzel Washington thriller FALLEN, made with much less seriousness and way more bloodshed.

If you're looking for something hard-hitting and profound, check elsewhere. DON'T KILL IT offers plenty of cheap and cheesy gore effects and a fast pace with plenty of action sequences, but that's about it. The humour is okay and Lundgren is good value, but the real emphasis is on the gruesome bloodshed, which I thought was handled brilliantly. It's no masterpiece, that's for sure, but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyway.

Well not exactly either. But let's backtrack and talk about a movie with Dolph Lundgren in the main role. Just that fact will put some people off or make them fans before watching it. If you don't take issue to the once Russian boxer and Rocky opponent, you will see his grumpy, but still very likable side. He has charisma and the actor actually has a lot more to offer than he is allowed to show.

Having said that, Humor is a tough thing to sell at times and the voting here shows it. I had a blast watching it and a lot of people in the audience I was with, had the exact same experience. It always helps to have an experienced director at helm of course, which is the case here. There is violence, there is comedy and a bit of horror. What's not to love?

If you're watching this movie for a serious, thoughtful, deep flick, then you will be disappointed. This movie is just a simple, gory comedy, to put it succinctly.

Sure the acting is cheesy and it may be a little low budget, but as another reviewer said, think of it like a newer evil dead.
