A cheap action thriller, shot in Morocco with a local crew by the looks of it. This one's poorly written throughout and goes for realism with the shaky camerawork etc, but it fails to impress. The story's about a former soldier whose wife is kidnapped, but there's zero suspense and the action bores. Andy Garcia plays in support.

Captain Brad Paxton's (Gary Dourdan) is a decorated Marine who served in Syria. He is also haunted by the events during his tour there.

After he returns home. Paxton's wife Kate (Serinda Swan) goes on an important archaeological dig in Morocco.

However she is kidnapped by ISIS type terrorists and held for ransom. The US government drags its feet as it might ruin an oil deal. So Paxton goes on a rescue mission.

This low budget action movie is low on any meaningful action. The lead actor is bland.

This turgid movie needed several high octane action scenes. It delivers a poor one at the end. Most of it is in the dark.

The film wants to make important points about cynical diplomacy and the influence of oil. It fails at all levels.

Andy Garcia and Martin Donovan are wasted.

Feels like few of my homeboys did a weekend project. Everything was awful about this movie.
