This interesting documentary is a snapshot of how the 20 years of Berlusconi ruling were like in Italy, as far as the links between politics and showbiz were concerned. The film flows fast and nicely without any dull moment. It is not preachy, doesn't side neither with the left wing nor with the right wing and even though it is based on a long interview of Lele Mora where he absolves himself from many accusations (exploitation of prostitution, fraudulent bankruptcy),the images show otherwise, making me suspect that the director really doubts that Lele Mora was innocent, like was proved a few years later when Lele Mora and Silvio Berlusconi were found guilty. Lovely the final sequence were the major characters of this documentary eat in their respective residences: Lele Mora and Ruby banqueting with a loaded table with many guests and the Filipina in her humble house feeding her son, reminding that we are all the same while satisfying our basic human needs.

Plot summary
'The man of Bunga Bunga' used to be an influential entertainment industry's agent, worldwide. His name is Lele Mora. He organized big events and speeches for Gorbachev and Clinton; he met Fidel Castro and Pope Wojtyla. But he also had had problems with justice. Known as Silvio Berlusconi's best friend, he is now accused to have brought escorts (among which Ruby) to the residence of the former Italian Prime Minister for group sex sessions with these girls (Bunga Bunga rite). This documentary tells Lele Mora's life, his relationship with Berlusconi, about Bunga Bunga, and about the Italians' fever for fame in the showbiz. It also shows how in Italy there are still young people who believes in family values. Are we sure they are Italians?

Sad but true
VERY INTERESTING
Since my country is very near both culturally and geographically to Italy it's very normal for us from Albania to watch and like Italian products and stories. This is a documentary that interested me so much since the scandals the documentary talks about were so famous and "talked about" here in Albania. This work is a seamless and exciting succession of visual and told information about the scandals that involved the then Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berlusconi who was allegedly supplied with "easy girls" by the powerful Lele Mora, the king of talent managers of Italy from the '80 up to 2010. There's a lot to learn from this documentary I was able to watch on Netflix from the first time director Ruben Soriquez. I loved the rhythm of this film, never boring from beginning to end.
Somehow Controversial with a Countercurrent Thesis
As I said in my other reviews of this director's film, I got interested, somehow, in his work. I couldn't find this documentary free no where but since in iTunes the rental was so cheap I decided to throw some dime into the box. Well it's a 2011 year documentary about Italian chronicles that now are just history, but what is interesting in this doc is that it's like a still frame of an era. The era of former Italian prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi (that has much in common with Trump) and his extravagant way of leading his country between funny jokes and Bunga Bunga orgies. It's engaging and somehow controversial mostly now after the Weinstein scandal. Yes because one of the thesis of this work is: "Women are not victims of men. They are the real masters of many games". Not from the narrator, nor the director, but from the mouth of the agent that used to supply escorts to the Prime Minister. "There are people who would do anything just to have a few seconds of celebrity". says Lele Mora. And having been a top agent I guess we can give him some credit.
