You know what? Up until viewing this informative documentary today, I had never, ever heard of American writer/poet/songwriter, Carl Sandburg (1878-1967).
But - According to this "American Masters" presentation (from the PBS Network) - Sandburg (who hobnobbed with US presidents and celebrities, alike) is widely regarded today as being a major figure in the realm of contemporary literature of the early-to-mid 20th century.
Through stills, archival footage, and interviews (including those with Sandburg and his relatives) - This 84-minute biography certainly gives the inquisitive viewer a comprehensive overview of the life and times of Carl Sandburg.

The Day Carl Sandburg Died is a dynamic exploration into the life and work of the iconic American, Carl Sandburg.
