The movie certainly has an original concept, namely explaining human relationships through physics, and the way it's shot is different and fresh.
The story is also not bad. Although not very original, it shows us the beauty as a relatively sympathetic person, sorely misunderstood by our protagonist. This is a welcome departure from the standard of nerds being portrayed as the perpetual good guys, always misused by vapid beauties..
But what seems to be the movies strengths, are ultimately also the causes of it's problems Namely the big problem of pacing is partially owed to constructing the story in this extremely nonlinear mock documentary, which simply kills the tempo of the film. Secondly, with the pacing so uneven, the protagonist's neuroses become almost insufferable.
All in all a good fresh movie worth a watch, but unfortunately far from great.

Plot summary
In Barcelona (Catalonia, northeast Spain),Manel is a neurotic scientist obsessed with the idea that the three laws of thermodynamics rule the daily life of all people, writing a thesis about it while he works as teacher assistant in the university. His happy life with his long-time girlfriend Raquel ends the day he casually crashes in the street at the same time as sexy, famous top model Elena; beautiful young lawyer Eva who has just opened her own law firm; and his friend Pablo, an Argentinian CEO of an advertising company and an unstoppable womanizer. After the incident, Manel breaks up with Raquel and starts dating Elena at the same time that Pablo dates Eva. Pablo and Eva's relationship is casual sex only; Manel and Elena live an idyllic love story. But Manel's neurosis and compulsive behavior eventually frustrate Elena, in his belief that everything is because of thermodynamics. Eva eventually leaves Manel and he tries to get her back; meanwhile, Pablo, after falling from a double-decker bus, tries to get Eva back after she breaks up with him after he insists that they have a threesome with another girl. Interspersed throughout the film is talk from real scientists who explain the laws of thermodynamics which rule the universe, from the Big Bang and the scientists who discovered it all through history. Pablo questions himself after he finds out that Eva's pregnant: can he be a husband, father, and family man? And Manel questions himself whether he can restore his previous life with Elena, or if the thermodynamics will make such reconciliation impossible.

Original Take
Thumbs up
Original, funny, clever, educating, entertaining with some nudity and sex scenes to spice it up. Nice soundtrack. Berta Vázquez is gorgeous ( Ukrainian mother/Ethiopian father). The best thing that happened to her was to be adopted (???) at the age of 3 by a Spain' family. She escaped extreme poverty of 90s and racism in Ukraine. The whole story is a mystery, but her clever mother did the right thing. I recommend this film. It might not appeal to the older generations.
To get a glimpse of what it is like for a black (mixed) child to grow up in Russia or Ukraine, watch "Gagarin's Grandson", 2007. A comedy with tragic notes and heart breaking open ending.
Annoying
It's annoying how they over use the comments of the scientist for every single scene of the movie
